Sustainable Mobility
Transportation is a critical domain where infrastructure innovation can significantly mitigate environmental impacts. The Sustainable Mobility research agenda addresses the transition from traditional fossil-fuel-based transportation systems to more sustainable, multimodal mobility solutions.
Our research encompasses the development of electric vehicles, autonomous transportation systems, and shared mobility services, critically analyzing their potential to reduce carbon emissions, enhance accessibility, and foster equity in transportation systems. We also examine the sociocultural dimensions of mobility, exploring how behavioral changes and public policy can complement technological advancements to accelerate the adoption of sustainable mobility solutions. For example, we observed the growing number of stampedes so some researchers look into how human traffic can be distributed based on AI models.
